The Saracen Gullwing is a world-leading Caravan hitch lock. It is suitable for AL-KO hitches AKS2004 & AKS3004. The patented design prevents use of the hitch handle and can be fitted using only one hand in less than 10 seconds.
The Saracen Gullwing makes securing your caravan or trailer quick and easy and can even be fitted whilst the trailer or caravan is attached to a vehicle. Please note: In the UK it is against the law to tow with a hitch lock attached. This clever design does, however, allow you to use the Saracen Gullwing at times when other hitch locks or large wheel clamps would not be suitable such as service stations and car parks. The Saracen Gullwing incorporates a British Made anti-pick 9-pin lock from premier lock manufacturers Lowe & Fletcher
The Saracen Gullwing hitch lock has been tested and approved by Kiwa SCM MP03 and Thatcham Category 3. SCM includes assessments not usually included in other procedures, such as resistance to freezing and corrosion. Both accreditations ensure that the Saracen Gullwing hitch lock is the perfect choice for your caravan or trailer. Consider pairing with the Nemesis Ultra universal wheel lock.
The Saracen Gullwing was designed in Purple Line’s UK innovation centre. The product design engineers were tasked with simplifying hitch based trailer and caravan security, ensuring ease of use and product weight were at the forefront of their minds at all times, without compromising on security in any way.
Installation involves fitting a small receiver to your hitch. The receiver is a permanent fixture and only needs to be fitted once, during initial installation. The Saracen Gullwing slides over the hitch handle, before pivoting down the like the wing of a gull, locking into the receiver, securing the hitch and preventing the handle of the hitch from being lifted.
This hitch lock comes with; two keys, free carry case and security hitch ball.

What is the metal ball or plastic dummy ball part used for?
The ball part (ie. the piece shown on the box) fits into the tow hitch in exactly the same manner as the tow ball on your car.
The purpose of ‘blocking’ the tow ball hole is to avoid theft whereby a person with a hook or similar could make use of this open cavity and pull the caravan away.
