Description

The Avtex AMR104X 4G CAT 6 Dual SIM Mobile WiFi Router & Antenna is a permanently mounted internet solution designed specifically for caravans, campervans and motorhomes. Combining a CAT 6 4G router with a high-gain external MiMo antenna, it provides a central WiFi connection that can be shared between multiple devices inside your leisure vehicle.

The router supports mobile-data speeds of up to 300 Mbps, subject to your network, signal strength, SIM plan and local coverage. Its dual SIM slots allow you to carry SIMs from two suitable networks, giving you greater flexibility when travelling and making it easier to change provider when coverage or roaming costs make another network preferable.

A useful feature for campsite touring is the ability to connect the AMR104X to an existing WiFi network when one is available. This means you can use campsite or other suitable WiFi instead of your mobile-data allowance, while your devices continue to connect through the Avtex system.

The built-in 2.8-inch colour display makes the system easier to manage without relying solely on an app, showing information including signal strength, network provider and monthly data usage.

Mounted externally, the low-profile high-gain 4-element MiMo antenna supports 3G, 4G and 5G signals and is designed to operate whether the vehicle is stationary or moving. It is worth making the distinction that the AMR104X router is a 4G CAT 6 router; it is the antenna that is 5G compatible.

The system operates directly from 12V or 24V, making it well suited to leisure-vehicle installation. A DC isolation switch lets you fully turn the router off when it is not required, helping reduce unnecessary battery drain.
